Events

UP ACES is known both in the university and among civil engineering students nationwide for its events that are one of the grandest in its categories. The events hosted by UP ACES are always prepared months in advance to assure that they would be tons better than before.

Established National Events

Every September, UP ACES organizes the grandest events for civil engineers and future civil engineers. The National Civil Engineering Summit is a week-long celebration. It is the flagship project of the organization.

In service of its members

Several seminars, workshops, and forums are made for the holistic growth of UP ACES members. These help the members become leaders in their field and prepare them for life beyond the university. Tutorials and study groups are also created to fulfill the organization’s academic mission.

In service of the College of Engineering

During the competetive Engineering Week of the UP College of Engineering week, UP ACES holds two of the most awaited night events that showcase the engineering students’ talent in dance and music. Indakan, an interpretative dance competition, was organized in its early days by the Frauleins, until UP ACES took over. Jammeng’g, the themed battle of the bands, on the other hand was created by the organization itself and recently it became a night event, making UP ACES the only non-ESC (Engineering Student Council) organization to hold night events.

Parties, the UP ACES style

We work hard, but we party harder. UP ACES holds the best semester enders and private parties for its members for them to unwind and forget the stress that college brings. This year, UP ACES holds, for the first time, a party open to all, entitled BOOZE: Drink UP!, showcasing a beer-drinking competition.

Giving back is part of the UP ACES culture

UP ACES is known to be the organization in the college with the highest funds. These funds are used solely for all our events that service other people. The remaining money are then used for charity works. Every year, UP ACES joins JCI’s (Junior Chamber Institute’s) Camp Pag-ibig, a venue for sharing love and learning to special children on Valentine’s Day. Last year, Metro Manila, devastated from typhoon Ondoy’s wrath, witnessed UP ACES’ goodwill in its provision of relief goods (to hundreds of families), especially raised from donations by OFWs in Dubai.
