The University of the Philippines Association of Civil Engineering Students is among many of the duly recognized academic organizations in the UP College of Engineering. UP ACES has excelled in so many fields which develops holistic development and professional growth, however, they never forget the importance of Academics. The Academics committee is directly responsible in organizing projects and activities which fosters academic excellence of the members of the organization and also for their colleagues in the Institute of Civil Engineering. The committee members help orgmates and friends to understand the subject matter deeply and not just memorize formulas and concepts for the sake of getting high grades. Learning is more than absorbing facts; it is acquiring understanding of the course completely. We aim for us to learn and appreciate Civil Engineering as our future expertise. The committee is also responsible in the acquisition and safekeeping of sample long exams, lecture notes, laboratory reports, and books in the Academics Library which were donated by outstanding previous members of the organization. Moreover, Acacom provides the members a venue to discover the art in the science of studying and the science in the art of learning.
